Trust Your Gut
By Lorelei Hunt

As many of you already know, there is nothing mysterious about animal communication. It is simply telepathy and we all have it. It’s the telepathy that occurs when you only think about giving your dog a bath and he is nowhere to be found. It is the same telepathy when you think of friends that you haven’t thought of in years and you receive a phone call from them the same day. We all use our natural telepathy more than we think we do. You can develop your ability just by being aware of your gut feelings and acting upon them.

We’ve all had the experience when you meet someone who seems very nice, but you simply don’t like them. You can’t put a finger on it, but something about the person simply doesn’t ring true. Some folks say that they get a queasy feeling in their stomach, others say it’s a funny feeling in their chest. Either way, this is your gut telling you to beware. I also feel that there is a telepathic component to any conversation when we just know that what a person’s real motives are and have insight to their truthfulness. How many times have we ignored these feelings and regretted it? If something just doesn’t feel right, then we shouldn’t do it.

Last summer, I set up a workshop to teach basic animal communication on September 15. NOBODY signed up for the course. When something that is normally routine becomes difficult, I know I’m not meant to do it. I told my friends, "I just know I’m not supposed to teach this class. I have this feeling that something is going to go wrong." I thought it was along the lines of getting into an accident on the way to the workshop. It turns out that the events of September 11 stranded me in Florida so that I was unable to teach the class.

When a client has an animal near death, I tell them that I will give them a free consultation if they need to know if their animal is ready to leave their body. Over the years, only one or two people have taken me up on the offer, because they generally know when the time has come. "My animal just looked at me and I knew it was time."

Isn’t it amazing that we get along with our animals so well even though they don’t speak? I’m sure we are all using our natural telepathy all the time!

Listen to your gut. Ask yourself if the situation or person feels right to you.
